AMSOIL SEVERE GEAR® 250 is engineered for the most demanding gear applications where standard lubricants fail. Its advanced 100% synthetic base oils and heavy additive package deliver exceptional film strength, cushioning metal surfaces and absorbing the shock loads typical in high-horsepower, high-torque setups such as off-road race trucks, dragsters, competition tractors, and rock crawlers.

The formula forms a durable iron-sulfide barrier to protect against wear, scoring, and pitting, while its cold-weather fluidity ensures rapid circulation at startup without the wax buildup common in conventional oils. Designed to cling tenaciously to components, it resists sling-off even under extreme G-forces and steep operating angles, ensuring continuous protection and longer gear life. Suitable for API GL-5 hypoid gear applications requiring higher-viscosity oil.
