The Nismo Competition 2189E 75W-140 is a premium 100% synthetic ester-based differential oil developed in collaboration with Motul for high-performance limited-slip differentials. Originally engineered for motorsport applications, it delivers outstanding protection and consistent LSD performance under the extreme temperatures and loads experienced during spirited road driving, drifting, and circuit use.

Unlike conventional heavy-weight differential oils, the 2189E combines the cold-flow characteristics of a 75W oil with the high-temperature protection of a much heavier lubricant. Its advanced ester formulation provides exceptional oil film strength while reducing internal churning resistance, helping to lower operating temperatures without sacrificing protection.

Developed through extensive testing on race circuits and laboratory equipment capable of simulating oil temperatures up to 230°C, the oil maintains stable friction characteristics even under severe operating conditions. This results in smooth and predictable limited-slip differential engagement while significantly reducing chatter and plate judder, ensuring consistent handling and driver confidence throughout long track sessions.
